Pawar Radio (2016)

Designed in 2016, We were tasked with rebranding Blackwood Comprehensive Schools Radio station, Pawar Radio alongside the radio stations student leadership team.

Our task was to evolve the original "Pawar FM" logo keeping the headphone & wire design & updating it with the new name. We were also Tasked with creating T-shirts, a website & marketing for promotional use within the school, plus branding for the "tech team" who were responsible for light & sound operation at school events.

Logo

An evolution of the original branding, the new simpler logo is reduced to the basic "headphone & cable graphic" with the new name- Pawar Radio.

We added red to the branding allowing the logo to stand out when being displayed throughout the school.

Pawar Radio Website

Website

Created using a "free" website editor, the website for Pawar Radio was created to promote the radio station, announce updates & act as a virtual request box allowing students to submit song requests & shout outs for friends.

Marketing

For the marketing designs, we were restricted in scope & complexity as the posters had to be editable within PowerPoint & Slides by the students, however we ensured that the colour schemes & font were consistent with the overall brand identity.

T-shirt Designs

Created as a proof of concept, & for future usage to replace the original Pawar FM T-shirts (upon request). The new designs feature the Pawar Radio logo on the left breast & on the back of the shirt whilst the opposite side on the front has space to include a members initials for added personalisation.

Tech Team

Due to the success of the radio station, members were asked to operate light & sound equipment at school events, leading to the creation of the "tech team". The "Tech Team" branding is a light blue variation of the original logo allowing for easy distinction between the core brand, but still being familiar.

Real world usage.

When the new branding was rolled out, recognition of the station went up to their highest levels ever & it quickly became a popular club within the school.

Upon the creation of the new logo the student leadership were given permission to paint it on the wall of the station.

It was also placed upon request boxes, added to a new information board outside the radio & used on property tags to easily identify items for use by the radio.
